THE GOSPEL

SOLD OUT — ARCHIVE

Where the series began.

The Gospel was the first release from the FAVORED. ART DEPT.—a collaboration built around a simple message with the power to change everything.

It marked the beginning of an ongoing series created to bring faith, creativity and purpose together through one limited piece at a time.

THE COLLABORATOR

Josilyn Bowers is a missionary pastor whose work reflects a commitment to carrying the Gospel beyond the walls of the church.

At the time of this collaboration, Josilyn was serving alongside a nonprofit in Virginia that provided English as a Second Language education to refugees. Through this work, English lessons became more than education—they became a practical expression of welcome, encouragement and care for young students beginning a new chapter of their lives.

Josilyn’s heart for missions and service made her the natural collaborator for the project that would begin the ART DEPT. Series.

THE IDEA

The Gospel is both the story of what Christ has done and an invitation to respond.

He died.
He rose.
You’re free.
Now go.

The first three statements declare the foundation of the Gospel: Christ gave His life, defeated the grave and made freedom possible.

The final words turn that freedom into a calling.

THE PIECE

The Gospel tee transformed that message into a direct, wearable declaration.

The statement—He died. He rose. You’re free. Now go.—was paired with the FAVORED. ART DEPT. mark, establishing the visual identity of the series for the first time.

Simple in its presentation but urgent in its meaning, the piece was created as a reminder that the Gospel was never meant to remain still. It is a message to receive, live and carry forward.

THE IMPACT

Net profits from “The Gospel” release helped support missionary work connected to Josilyn’s ESL outreach in Virginia.

The funds contributed toward the travel and mission expenses of a young missionary couple journeying from California to Virginia to help teach English to young refugee students.
